No. Every worksheet can be done on the screen, and it marks itself as your child works through it. If you do have a printer, use it: a pencil in a child's hand does something a screen cannot, and the sheets are ordinary A4 with no special paper and no laminating. A downloaded PDF works with no connection at all; the on-screen version needs the app to be online.
Kindergarten 1 to Primary 3, which is roughly four to nine years old. Levels matter more than birthdays here, so start your child at the level they actually read at rather than the one their year group says. You can move them up or down whenever you like.
About ten minutes a day. One part of a story, the word cards that go with it and a few questions, and then it stops. Nothing autoplays, nothing is queued up next, and there is no feed to fall into when the story ends.
No ads, ever, and nothing is sold to your child inside the app. There is no chat, no comments and no other users, so there is nobody here for them to talk to. When a story finishes, nothing is recommended and nothing plays next.

Most children are, and it is not a problem. Pick the lower of the two for a week or so, because a book that is slightly too easy builds fluency, while one that is slightly too hard turns reading into hard work for both of you. You can change level whenever you like and nothing is lost when you do.
