On Monday it rains and Mia has no umbrella, so old Mrs. Lee shares hers and gets half her coat wet. On Tuesday Mia helps Ben. On Wednesday Ben helps a small boy. By Friday the kindness has gone all the way round the school, and it comes back to somebody. The new word is spread.

Before we begin

It is Monday and it is raining. Mia has no umbrella. This book goes one day at a time, all the way to Friday.

Every day somebody is kind to somebody new. Keep track of who was helped, because the person who was helped is the next one to help.

The new word is spread. It means to move out wider and wider, like ink in water.
